Smellscape Messejana Church

During my artist residency at Buinho Hub, I found a lot of places in Messejana, that came with quiet and peace. My favorite place was the top of the hill next to the church. Almost every evening I would sit there watching the sunset. A lot happened up there internally: emotions came up, I cried, I laughed, I sat with my thoughts. Sometimes I danced and sang. It was a constant up and down. And this is what this painting is capturing.
